it's a place for writers, artists, performers, models, commentators . . .
anyone who has something to say.

if you have a site, it's a place to link to.

if you have an event, it's a place to let people know about it.

it's a place where you can be creative, speak your mind, be heard . . .
make a difference
.

gia c. manalio-bonaventura realized at an early age after deciding she was not olympic
figure skater material that she was a writer, albeit an uncoordinated one. it was at that
moment she realized all she wanted was to write poetry and stories while sipping
cappuccino in new york city cafés. so after high school, gia packed up and moved to
greenwich village where she studied literature, creative writing, and what subway trains
go where. upon receiving her degree from new york university and discovering the high
cost of cappuccino, gia decided to put her education to use and joined the publishing
industry where she's worked for over 17 years writing, editing, and doing just about
anything editorial necessary to get the books to print. but her passion for the creative and
alternative and speaking up never weakened and this site is a result. in her spare time,
she likes to skate, read, watch investigative tv, and paint her toenails to match the tattoo
on her ankle. gia lives with her husband and cat (rip sebastian) and a whole lot of stuff.
to date (knock on wood) she has only broken one bone.
edit: two bones. or actually one bone broken twice.
